- Your first task on the blog is to find an interesting film opening from the horror genre, possibly a sub-genre that you are considering emulating.
- You embed a link (if possible) and then bullet point significant film language techniques: ie. camera, editing, sound, mis-en-scene. Eg. you could comment on pov, cutting rate, low key lighting, costume..
- You then link points to connotations, conventions of sub-genre, effect on audience…

Task 1 - Opening Sequence Horror Film
We looked at an iconic scene from Psycho (Hitchcock, 1960) - the shower scene and talked about significant film language techniques.
